Regarding Counterfeits

Based on Hebrews 11:17-40, Proverbs 28:25, Psalm 128:1-6, Ezekiel 25:1-26:21 and lots of places in Matthew (11:20-24, 12:34, 15:3-7, 16:3, 17:17, 21:13, 22:18, 23:13-33).

Heavenly Father, in Christ I lift my praises and my thanksgivings for Your discernment and Wisdom imparted to us who belong to Christ and are led by Your Holy Spirit as we will allow. O GOD, You said, "Joe Wilson was right" after our President spoke LIES to this nation in his first State of the Union address. Wilson was vilified for shouting into the face of falsehood, for not respecting the Office of the Presidency.

Now I see that it is one thing to respect the Office and another to respect the person who holds it. I do respect the Office of the Presidency, but I no longer respect the person who is holding that office. I believe we have a Rogue President who is lawless, abusing his power with abandon, whose "shell games" and cover-ups are to be now called out for what they are: LIES.

Political Correctness has silenced us for too long. Even before this man entered Office, LORD, in Your mercy You revealed many deceptions that the media simply failed to cover. One example: what he said to Joe the Plumber, which tipped his hand to reveal his ideology.  Forgive us, LORD, for many never heard about these things from a press corps that was smitten with his eloquence and his elegant demeanor. In part, we were delusional with hatred for his predecessor; in part, we were being polite, thinking silence was respectful.

Now I hear You saying, "John the Baptist lost his head for speaking truth to Herod. Jesus was crucified for representing God on earth."

I am not the Christ,  But I am a temple for His Holy Spirit here on earth. By faith I now forsake Political Correctness and all traditions of men that call me to silence of the lambs. By faith, I now speak to address unrighteousness. I know You will make me strong in my weakness. You alone can turn to flight the armies of iniquity that surround us now. You alone can lead us to obtain a good testimony through faith. Therefore, I look toward Your better promise in the New Covenant and consider myself blessed for trusting in You, O Savior and LORD.

Regarding Counterfeits

Based on Ezekiel 9:1-12:23, Psalm 121:1-8, Proverbs 28:16, Hebrews 5:1:14

GOD, I stand amazed at the morphing of meanings in our world and especially in our nation! We see  things that are good being called "evil" and things that are evil being called "good." And, LORD, we see so many things that are not equivalent being considered equivalent -- and opposites being defined that are not opposites at all. For example:
  • The opposite of "pro-life" is not "pro-choice."
  • The opposite of "straight" is not "gay."
GOD, You know that personal liberty has been the hallmark of American life. Our country has never been about victims, yet has always helped those in need. You have guided us to creating a safety net for people who cannot manage on their own. You have not suggested that we enlarge to become a safety hammock. That's a different thing altogether.

By Your mercy and grace, You have revealed to us that the human spirit is not made to languish. We are wired to aspire! Yet this viewpoint seems to evoke condemnation: the idea that it is only about the rich getting richer, or hating women's rights, or hating people who are gay. I am tired of this!

Perhaps this most recent national election will bring out of hiding many bills that have been hidden under the skirts of a single man for the past two years. How can one person hold up the entire nation's business? Amazing. We stand astonished.

Yet now, perhaps, our nation will return to common sense -- and to common cents -- restoring freedoms for everyone (including businesses!) to dream, to aspire, to reach ever higher. In GOD we trust, declaring to monstrous bureaucracies that we "Live free or die." On and also, "Don't tread on me!"

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

Based on Ezekiel 1-2.

Through my daily readings back in The Fall of 2008, God was basically saying to me, “I have told you.”  So I started to record in my journals what He told me then, and I am sharing these on my blog under the label The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008. As always,  honest sharing and civil discourse are most welcome.

Here we are Election Day and reading Ezekiel, when he saw the four creatures who went straight forward, wherever the Spirit wanted to go, not turning aside. It’s the part where Ezekiel was told to go to the nation and say to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, “Thus says the LORD GOD.” We are not to be afraid  or dismayed by their words or their looks. They are a rebellious house. This time of trial is all about coming to their wits’ end. Mere men must realize their need to consult the LORD GOD! Ezekiel was shown a scroll that was spread before him, and written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe (Ezekiel 1-2).

Child, clap your hands! What joy will come forth in the midst of mourning. Remember, these are now the Dis-United States of America, for “unity” will be required through by-words. That which is not unity will start calling itself unity, and many will stand aghast to see Humpty Dumpty (so to speak) have a great fall.

This day, my reading in Psalms says, “I see the treacherous, and I am disgusted because they do not keep Your word (Psalm 119:158).” It is encouraging to read in Hebrews 1:14 that You are sending forth all heaven’s help “to minister to those who WILL inherit salvation.” Lord, You have asked us to pray in such a time as this that as many as will come to You as will come, that Your enemies will be made Your footstool, that Your Bride will be readied for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Even now, Lord, as we wait and watch, we thank You. I especially thank You for my salvation that transforms my prayers into living sacrifice, wholly acceptable in Your sight – efficacious, a sweet fragrance to You on high.

Lord, You are amazingly patient. Thank You for bearing with me as I have flailed through so many long phases of wrong thinking, doing whatever I deemed best without so much as consulting You. I gladly now receive with gratitude the fact of Your atonement. You have cleansed this temple and will cleanse all who receive Your Risen Life. There is nothing You cannot redeem!

Redeem the time we have left, oh Lord. Let us come into Your pastures of purpose to walk in Your ways, under Your headship. Help us to offer Your Bread of Life and Living Water to any who are seeking Your way, the way You had in mind before time began. Amen.

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

Based on Lamentations 1.

Share what I have told you with the Brethren.Tell them I AM raising up Pharaoh, and the fall of the nation will be dire – swift and dire. I have told you. Stand and pray – watch and wait; tell all who will listen that I AM the Bread of Life. Child, the time is coming when you will be pulled on by beggars -- pulled on but not pulled down. Offer only the Bread which you have been given for nourishment, and be sure you partake of Me as well, for your depletion will be entire unless you continually come to Me for the Living Water with which I revive and refresh, also for the True Bread that will sustain you. Beggars will be crawling, weeping, gnashing their teeth – and you will be standing there  giving out  crumbs. The arm of flesh is futile! Your sowing will be seeds of truth, My truth:

  • That I AM the way, the truth, and the life.
  • That no one can come to the Father except by Me.
  • That I have made the way by My sacrifice on the cross that atoned for sin.
  • That I have conquered death by rising into new life and birthing the church.
  • That I have imparted Me Holy Spirit into earth’s receptive vessels.
  • That these are temples – forgiven beggars -- temples not made by men.
  • That these are temples of mercy purpose to offer My Word of Life to other beggars.
I have to make many into beggars, My child.  Do not dismay, for their eternity will be in Me because I purposed and graced you for this moment before time began. Remember, there is nothing I cannot redeem.

Lord, You make me bold and strong to stand, yet I melt before the memories of which I am ashamed. Please God, take away – or just take – this vanity I lay at Your feet and nail to Your cross. Vanity, shame, measurement, performance – all of the cockroaches! They are scorpions in disguise -- they are killers of me – killers!  My old familiar enemies!  I recognize them and rebuke then in Jesus!  I belong to Him, and I am safely held by Him, in Him, for Him and for the excellent purposes which He planned for me before time began – that I would be a visionary of things unseen; that I would be an encourager to others (other beggars!), that I would find peace and joy and even a sense of safety in the midst of  “considerable trouble.”

Pray for them, not for yourself, child.  Pray for all who need to see their need for Me. Child, they are sweet and kindly, moral people, but they do not know Me! They do not contend for My truth; they contend for their own. It is unwitting sin, but it is penultimate sin to ignore Me and follow instead the dictates and desires of the human heart. Those who belong to Christ belong to Me and are the restrainer. I will remove the restrainer at some point. Come along, lamenting... and rejoice!

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

Through my daily readings back in The Fall of 2008, God was basically saying to me, “I have told you.”  So I started to record in my journals what He told me then, and I am sharing these on my blog under the label The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008. As always,  honest sharing and civil discourse are most welcome.

You were right to pray that, through the mercy I have shown you, they may also obtain mercy (Romans 11:31).  Someone prayed for you, so now you are that someone praying, for I AM sending forth heaven’s help to minister to those who WILL inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14).

Lord, the “no matter what” is transpiring. It seems like You are saying, “Be ready” because our teapot has tipped and is pouring out over the edge of the cliff into a frighteningly deep ravine.  Lord, we have approved evils that grieves Your heart. God. help us!  Lord, I will be still and know You are in charge, but in my flesh, I am afraid of what man can do to me, to us, to the saints who follow You, Jesus, the Christ.

Be not afraid, dear daughter. I have told you. You knew this was coming. You knew “a hard rain” was going to fall – and you knew it was “the eve of destruction” – but also that My ultimate outcome is good. A cleansed earth, My people redeemed, a new heaven and a new earth. “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor My ways your ways” has been spoken to you many times throughout these last days.  Also We have been telling you to be still and know that I AM God.

This day, my reading in Psalms says, “I see the treacherous, and I am disgusted because they do not keep Your word (Psalm 119:158). It is encouraging to read in Hebrews 1:14 that You are sending forth all heaven’s help “to minister to those who WILL inherit salvation.”  Lord, You asked us to pray in such a time as this that as many as will come to You will come, that Your enemies will be made Your footstool, that Your Bride will be readied for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  Even now, Lord, we wait, we watch, and we thank You, Lord.  I thank You for my salvation that makes my prayers a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable in Your sight – efficacious and a sweet fragrance to You on high.

Now, in 2014, I hear You speaking again,in similar ways (based on Psalm 119:129-136, Titus 2:1-13, Jeremiah 51:1-52:34). "Set up a banner! Blow the trumpet! For everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge; every metalsmith is put to shame by the carved image, for his molded image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are futile, a work of errors. My people, go out from the midst of Babylon! For I AM the God of recompense. I will surely repay."

Thank You, LORD, for Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them; the entrance of Your words gives light. Rivers of water run from my eyes because men do not keep Your law. Redeem us from the oppression of man!  May we adorn You, O GOD our Savior in all things, as we look for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great GOD and Savior Jesus Christ, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works as He direct our steps -- in Him, by His Holy Spirit, and by His Word Writ.

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

Based on Psalm 119:139, Proverbs 28:9, Titus 1:1-16, Lamentations 1:1-2:22.

Now entering Lamentations, where I see more clearly that the Lord is the only One Who can heal and help us now. In Psalm 119:139, He is showing me that “my zeal has consumed me because the unbelievers have forgotten God’s words,” yet the Lord wants us [believers] to arise and cry out at the beginning of the watches to pour out our hearts like water before the face of the Lord; He also wants us to lift our hands toward Him  (Lamentations 2:19). Lord, it is hard to pray for the ones who have turned away their ears from hearing the law, especially knowing from Proverbs 28:9 that “even God turns His ear from their prayers.” It says in that verse that “one who turns his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.” Nevertheless, like Abraham interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah, we, also, are to lift our prayers in their stead and on their behalf that they might be spared -- not necessarily that they will be spared from physical trial and tribulation, but spared, at least, from eternal suffering and eternal loss. We are to pray that they be saved, rescued, as He saved and rescued us, who also knew no better. That they be enclosed in His Safe Embrace and brought into the cleft of The Rock until these storms have passed. We are to pray for those who cannot pray for themselves – either because they do not know (My people perish for lack of knowledge) or because they are so wounded that their walls have crumbled. We who live in Christ and by the Holy Spirit are to serve as Repairers of the Breach.

Our prayer, oh Lord, is for the salvations of many – even on the eve of this national election! May You meet them even now, even on the road to the voting booths! Come and gently remove the blindfolds of deception. Show them and welcome them into Your arms!  I know that trouble (for many, including myself) is often the path that brings people into Your Pasture of Protection, but I’ll go ahead and pray that if they can come to You any other way, by any less arduous path, that You are able to accomplish it.

Yes, Child, pray for those who are lost or who have no curiosity, or who have no inkling that My word is true. Child, I listen to you. I hear your heart. You were one of those once. Child, you ask in Jesus for salvations to be accomplished, and, Child, My answer to prayers like these is YES. And amen! All heaven agrees.  So child, start thanking me now – and trust, no matter what transpires during this American election.

Lord, we’re allowed to ask for miracles – in fact, I believe You are encouraging us to ask for the desires of our hearts, to reach high on the evening approaching this election!  We’re allowed to ask for miracles – and for Your Mighty Works! Many, Lord, we ask for many! That many would see You and say so, even now. I remember when I asked for a miracle for Stoker the Cat, and a miracle came forth from an x-ray taken by Dr. Light, who discerned it was one. I remember laughing with joy at the miracle and Your sense of humor sending the news through a man named Dr. Light.

You so have mercy in your heart, My daughter, but you need to cut away the edges of anger, which you have not yet realized has burnt the edges of your prayers regarding this national election. Ask Me for clarity on My Mind about on this matter, and ask to obtain it in order to pray it. Then pray it, even if you sound like Jonah sounded regarding Ninevah. Pray in the Spirit so I can flow through, for the time is short before this election which I AM calling The Fall of 2008.

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

     Based on 2 Timothy 4:1-22, Proverbs 28:5, Psalm 119:113, Jeremiah 47:1-48:47.

Here's from October 31, 2008:

All you need is Me.  And Me, you’ve got. Just as I have got you. Forever.  Child, forever is forever.  Is that not an excellent gift?  Treasure that is priceless?  Value beyond measuring?  Compare in your heart: My eternal Love or the approval of men?

Lord, I feel ridiculous.  No condemnation, I know, would be coming at me from You, but sorrow would.  Godly sorrow.  Let me steep in this sorrow like a little bag of tea in hot water, until Your flavor and fragrance waft again through this home.  Lord, thank You for gently steeping me in acceptance of the things I cannot change.  I need to let You heal me, starting with me feeling my feelings -- those old, familiar feelings (primarily the feeling of being “in” but not “of”).  While growing up, it was a feeling of intimation and being “less-than.”  Now that I have left that poisonous pasture, I need to embrace being “in” but not “of” that world of woe – that world that looks so beautiful, so polished like the big red apple of original sin.  I need to recognize the emptiness and superficiality of that artificial apple – and rebuke it.  Yes, it came into my house, and I love the people who brought it.  But I hate what they brought.  You say You love the sinner but hate the sin.  So, yes, I am to sit with wine-bibbers and gluttons and those who don’t know what they are doing.

It is far easier to sit with beggars than with the well-defended, the self-sufficient, the lofty, the haughty, the proud.  You do willingly sit with those I bring into your life, My daughter.  But just sit.  Steep.  Like a teabag in hot water.  Allow Me to emit fragrance that fills the room.  Your job is not the heavy-lifting.  Your job is to settle into heavy sitting, heavy staying, heavy steeping.

Child, do you see?
I see you see.
This is good – sit some more.

And know that I love you so much, even in those ways you have played the harlot without realizing.  The healing has begun – in you, in yours, in many.  Fear not! Instead, focus on faith in Me that I keep My promises and that what I have told you is true.

I have told you.

Lord, that’s where this whole download started, and now I feel that it is winding down. I have been practically to catch all Your "butterflies" in my little net.  Now I know in my knower -- it's  Teabag Time!

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

Based on 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

I see the intolerance of others as their shield against my statements of personal belief, and that frightens me.  My fear, however, must be obliterated by my faith that God will transform these beloveds any way He can.  I need to let go, now that I know He is on the case; I need to get off the soccer field and simply cheer HIm on from the bleachers. “Thank You God that Your salvation is being forged within the hearts of each beloved.  Salvation, at least, and probably even more is on the march! The adventure of living by Your Holy Spirit is granted in heaven.  Thank You, God!”

Why do I get so intimidated and ashamed because I don’t have someone's  approval?! ? For give me, LORD, for I am approved in You. Please forgive me for valuing so wrongly, weighing so inaccurately the treasure of heaven vs. the treasures of earth. Father,  I recognize the bait of Satan here. I declare that Your grace is more than sufficient for me, and that You are enough. Your salvation is my greatest joy because it has brought me into Your arms forever.  Why do I play the harlot, longing for the approval of mere human beings? Why?

Why doesn’t matter, My daughter. Only see the cruel chains that keep you linked you to one who was always just beyond your reach. That was (and still is) a set-up for your continued pursuit of resolution. Put away your desire for resolution. It is like hungering for  an artificial pear of plastic and ignoring the luscious, ripe, real fruit that is offered by Me.  Child, you have not known this. You asked me to reveal, and so I am, I have, I will.  Always remember that My purpose in revealing such things is that they be removed altogether – DISINTEGRATED!

Child, see this matter like you saw the "hauntings" disintegrate before your eyes! This idolatry is also disintegrated. Your job is to accept that it is done, over, gone --- and to refuse to return to the vomit. I have done it, child. Give that wounded heart to Me. You asked Me to reveal and heal. I have revealed!  Now you must trust Me with the healing that is in My hands.  Child, you may never see the manifestation of this healing, or you might -- but “proof” is not the point; hope is!  Confident, irrepressible, triumphant belief that I AM all you need. All you want.  All you are and ever shall be.

Sing My praises, for I have brought you out! Tell of My works. Publish them, My scribe! Confess what you have seen and what you have sorrowed over; repent by walking away in the opposite direction – not just in your physical world, but in your heart. Matters of the heart – your hurting heart, your wounded heart  -- long for resolution. I AM that completion. I AM enough!

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

Based on 2 Timothy 2:1-25

Through my daily readings back in The Fall of 2008, God was basically saying to me, “I have told you.”  So I started to record in my journals what He told me then, and I am sharing these on my blog under the label The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008. As always,  honest sharing and civil discourse are most welcome.

I trust You, Lord, much more than ever before. Why? I think because You have strengthened me in the furnace of authenticity. The freedom that You gave me when You took away all the people was freedom from “doing” in any way, pleasing men rather than You, oh Lord, my God. What a gracious and lavish teacher You are, my Awesome, Omnipotent, Amazing God! The minutiae of me, of my little life, is not too tiny for You to know and see and repair and reveal and heal. Thank You so much, Lord.

Now I need to work on showing respect for those who “do not want to think.” If they would consider Your claims, O Christ, they might see and be saved from the terrible tribulation that is to come. If they will not, I fear what they will suffer once the restrainer has been removed. Lord, You say You will make them into beggars – that’s how You had to go with me. I was like them once, “always learning” and thinking too highly of myself.

But You came and saved me. You opened my eyes; You sang over me; You led me into the arms of people called saints who received me and encouraged me. Now, finally, You have led me into Your abundant care and pasture. Lord, I feel safe at last, even though our nation is about to run off the cliff by electing Barack Obama. Oh God, help us. It just breaks my heart to see how many have fallen captive to the delusion and deception that You predicted millennia ago. They have no knowledge of Your prophesies; they have no wisdom. It’s not their fault –  battle is invisible. So many unwittingly pawns in the game, as Bob Dylan sang so many years ago. And, as Dylan also sang way back then, it’s a hard rain’s gonna fall…

God on high, Your scriptures seem to be winding down, but a few are still screaming:

Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them (Proverbs 28:4).

But know this, that in the last days perilous days will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters… proud, headstrong…haughty… having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!  For this sort are always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:1-7).

All who desire to live godly in Christ will suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12). I hope in Your word. Depart from me, you evildoers, for I will keep the commandments of my God! I hate the double-minded (Psalm 119:113-115).  [Oswald Chambers adds, “The man who does not put God first in his calculations is always double-minded”]. Evil men do not understand justice [or holiness], but those who seek the Lord understand all (Proverbs 28:5).

I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies and before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster on them. With continual weeping they shall come and seek the Lord their God.  They shall ask the way to Zion. (Jeremiah 49:37 and 50:4-5),

Lord, You seem to be saying that Babylon refers to the illegitimate son, Ishmael, and his descendants – and also to “the world of worldliness” that gives no heed to You. Our  nation, America, has become worldly]: At the noise of the taking of Babylon, the earth trembles and the cry is heard among the nations (Jeremiah 50:46).

My people have become lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray. They have turned then away on the mountains.  They have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place (Jeremiah 50:6). Move from the midst of Babylon…  For it is the land of carved images, and they are insane with their idols (Jeremiah 50:38).

It is time for You to act, O LORD, for they have regarded Your law as void (Psalm 119:126).

Here's what came way back in THAT October:

The Lord says we will be amazed when we cross over, when we will finally understand all things, when we will see the ripples that circled outward beyond our knowing from our little pebble lives.

My child, fellowship will come through conversations in safe places about hard things.  Relationship does come from this! And from it, My people will start working together where I want them to use their time. Encourage people to get into small discussion groups. First, this will get them into interactive fellowship with other believers. Second, it will transform them into effective pray-ers, Godly lifestyles, and ambassadorships under Christ.

What I have discerned since is our Lord calling for true community.  He wants real (is real….Israel).  He wants us to gather as if we were actual blood relatives (because we are).  He wants us to have family meetings. The Lord wants us connected in ways that help us get to know each other, enough to speak the truth in love, laying down our lives for one another.  He wants us to get real with Him and with each other.

Thanks to Him, I have found my way into a most unimaginably lovely pasture:  HIS!  Replete with His loving care and gracious keeping.  Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9).  This idea is also referenced in Isaiah 64:4 and Isaiah 65:17.

The Fall (Pun Intended) of 2008

More from Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Psalms

Through my daily readings back in The Fall of 2008, God was basically saying to me, “I have told you.”  So I started to record in my journals what He told me then, and I am sharing these on my blog. As always,  honest sharing and civil discourse are most welcome. Here's a "download" from just one morning way back then:

Everyone will deceive his neighbor and will not speak the truth; they have taught their tongue to speak lies.

Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me, says the Lord (Jeremiah 9:5-7).  Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge, a work of error (Jeremiah 10:14-15). Your rule shall collapse (Jeremiah 13:18) because you have forgotten Me and trusted in falsehood (Jeremiah 13:25).

Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom; let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches. But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these I delight, says the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

The exact middle of the Bible is this verse: It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8).

Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the customs of the people are futile (Jeremiah 10:2). At God’s wrath, the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to endure His indignation (Jeremiah 10:10). Why are those happy who deal so treacherously! You, oh God, are near in their mouth but far from their mind (Jeremiah 12:1-2). Even your brothers, the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you. They “make nice” – but do not believe them even though they speak smooth words to you (Jeremiah 12:6).

Behold I will bring on this city and on all her towns all the doom that I have pronounced against it because they have stiffened their necks that they might not hear My words (Jeremiah 19:14).
