Love Notes

Based on Joel 1:1-3:21, Psalm 140:6-13, Proverb 29:24, Revelation 2:1-29.

Thank You, LORD, for gathering us, for assembling us in fellowship with a love of You and Your reign over us to who we belong. You have made us a church like Philadelphia, LORD, a people restored from the years that the locusts had eaten, a people  who listen for Your still, small voice in the amid the tumult, who offer ourselves as vessels for Your Spirit to inhabit and increase within us -- and to pour out from us -- for others. Thank You for assuring us that we shall be saved, that we are among the remnant You will call. Though multitudes will converge in the Valley of Decision, You, LORD, will be a shelter for Your people. The righteous in You shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your Presence. We do already!

So say You, who holds the seven stars in Your right hand, who feeds us from the Tree of Life, who warns us to refuse and rebuke the doctrine of Balaam which put a stumbling block before Your children. You also urge us to recognize the doctrine the Nicolaitans, which thing You hate. You will give instead hidden manna and white stones with a new name written to those who overcome and keep Your works until the end. Also to them, which by Your mercy includes us, You will give the morning star. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches!
