Love Notes

Based on Hosea 13:1-14:9, Psalm 140:1-5. Proverbs 29:23, Revelation 1:1-20.

Holy and triune, yet You give us revelations in order that we may know the things which must shortly take place. Blessed are we to know the words of Your prophecies, who keep these things in our hearts as the time draws near. This world of woe is full or error and peoples who sin more and more, making themselves molded images and exalting their hearts against You, GOD. You say "They forget Me." You say, "So I will be to them like a lion."

Your man, C.S. Lewis, understood Your words, GOD, and wrote a story to show You as the Lion of Judah coming to redeem the unwise who have been turned to stone. In his Chronicles of Narnia, he showed that, when Springtime begins to appear, we would know that "Aslan" is on the move.

It was Springtime when You died to reverse the curse  we had set into motion whe we disobeyed You, O GOD most high. Rebellion and wickedness crucified You, LORD, who was and is our GOD made Passover Lamb. On third day, You rose victorious over sin and death, O Lion of Judah, breathing Life into stone-cold hearts, graciously reviving many who were lost during the wickedness of winter.

Now, in You, the fatherless find mercy! Your are growing us like the lily and lengthening our roots and causing our branches to spread into beauty and fragrance. We are being revived by Your Bread of Life to be for others broken bread and poured out wine forever. Who is wise? Let him understand these things. For Your ways, O  LORD are right, and those You have made righteous walk in them. We seek to be humble in spirit, GOD Most High, surrendering to Your Power our hearts, trusting You and entrusting all things into Your excellent care.

Blessed are we who read and hear Your Word, who look to behold the day when You come with clouds and everyone will see You, even they who pierced You. You are He who lives, who was dead, but behold, is alive forever and ever. Amen!
