Regardings

I am grateful for the results of Election 2014, if only to learn that I am not alone. I feel like Elijah when Ahab and Jezebel were going against him and God told him there were 7,000 more like him. God proclaimed there was a remnant then, and I thank God for proclaiming it again -- now. There is a remnant! Our pharaoh, however, refuses to hear or accept what is so clearly being said by these election results -- he, who once so famously said, "Elections have consequences."

Well, they do. And I hope this election generates a return to CIVIL discourse. Let's stop demonizing each other when we happen to disagree. Let's be gracious toward differing viewpoints -- and realize we are called to love one other even when we don't agree.  We don't have to embrace the same opinions; we don't even have to like each other very much. But we are commanded to love one another anyway -- and no matter what.

  1. Sadly his post-election comments are such that it gives the impression he will punish us all as a good pharoah is prone to doing. "Don't want to play the game my way, then I will take my toy and show you who is boss!" Little does he know that he works for us. He is under the mandate of the Lord whether he likes it or not!

  2. O Mary, how nice to have comment on my blog after a long silence that made me think my comment feature wasn't working. I agree with you completely. My husband and I are actually thinking of seceding from Connecticut and moving South because CT is irreversibly BLUE. P.S. Are you watching this excellent man named Ben Carson, M.D. ?? He's starting to sound a whole lot like MOSES!
