Love Notes

Based on 2 Timothy 2:1-26, Psalm 119:97-104, Jeremiah 43:1-44:30.

Almighty GOD, it is clear to me that we are days foretold from ancient times, days in which Your people refuse to seek You and persist in walking in ways that are ungodly. People are praying to other gods, of which there are many, including one they call the queen of heaven for whom they make cakes and worship her who is not You. Therefore, You are as furious as You were in the days of old. You warned them then, and You are warning us now, saying, "Behold, I will set My face against You for catastrophe... "

You tell us that no one shall survive except a small number who love Your law and hate every false way and are hid in Christ, the ark of the New Covenant, the Passover Lamb.
For if we died with Him, we also live with Him. And so You are setting apart vessels for honor, sanctified and useful for every good work, able to endure hardship even to the point of chains. Your word, O LORD, is not chained. Therefore, we endure all things for the sake of the elect, in humility correcting those who are in opposition if You, O GOD, perhaps will grant them repentance so that they may know the truth and come to their senses and escape the snares of the devil.

We cling to You, meditating upon Your word in which we soak to  become wiser than our enemies. You, Yourself, are teaching us, and in Your perfect way, Your testimonies have become ours as we learn to keep Your word and follow You, restraining our feet from evil ways. How sweet are Your words -- sweeter than honey! Through Your precepts, we obtain the mind of Christ; therefore we hate every false way.

Thank You, GOD, for the grace that is ours in Christ Jesus! Thank You for giving us Your understanding in all things along with the diligence to present ourselves as workers who do not need to be ashamed, who are rightly dividing Your word of truth because You are with us, up close and personal. May every single one who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity!
