John 16:23
And in that day you will
ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask in My name He
will give you.
In that day we shall be one with the
Father as Jesus said we should be because the Holy Spirit has brought us there.
No one can receive the Holy Spirit unless he is convinced of his own poverty. When
we receive the Holy Spirit, He imparts the risen life of Jesus and there is no
distance between the Father and His child. Have we come to this unquestioning
place where there is no more perplexity of heart in regard to God? Any number
of things may be dark and unexplained, but they do not come in between the
heart and God….
When you become so certain that God will
bring it all out in perfect accordance with His will, then “Let not your heart
be troubled” has become the real state of your life… When the point of entire
reliance on the resurrection of Jesus is reached, and we are brought into
perfect contact with the purpose of God, we find all our questions are gone.
Are we living that life now? If not, why shouldn’t we?
