Contemporary Psalms

12-10-13

Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:7

LORD, I thank You for opening the gate to a good and faithful conversation that required speaking truth in love. Thank You for the kindness You imparted to the sharing from my heart and for Your emphasis that it is not mine to case dispersions on anyone else or to think that I can change something that someone else is choosing.
Still, I spoke about Your Words teaching us that we are all priests in Christ and that we are to call no man "Father"... that a Direct Connect with You is not possible in a pre-printed agenda... that giving You the Pre-Eminence means letting You run the meeting.

You have gently and kindly shown me that our diving Christ's Body into denominations is not okay with You. But we think it is because different kinds of people have different learning styles. But LORD! You know each one perfectly. Reveal to us who cannot see the School of Christ is right here, right here, right here! Draw us out of these manmade contraptions and into Your Body to obtain the Mind of Christ in Whom we live and move and have our being and to follow the Holy Spirit, even when it leads us outside the camp and the traditions of men. Especially then!

I cannot pull everyone (or anyone!) out of these denominational cages, but I can stand fast in the freedom that You have granted me. And I can resist and refuse to succumb the approval of men, even other believers who have not received this particular revelation. I don't know why so many believers are in agreement with Your Word in these matters, yet persist honoring manmade traditions of human fathers. It is hard ground, but You are teaching me to rake it and break it, false peace into softened soil and to sow seeds that will sprout into conversations and considerations about Matters That Matter to You. Mine is to follow You wherever You lead, and to let go of measuring results. The tapestry I see here is the reverse side of the one Your are weaving. What appears full of knots and broken threads is a perfect work on the other side. Thank You for leading me to seek and find, to hear and heed, to follow and not to falter. Amen.
