Contemporary Psalms

11-22-13

... and the ruins shall be rebuilt.
Ezekiel 36:33-36

Blessed are we who hope in You, oh LORD, for You have strengthened and increased our trust by proving Your eagerness to help us, even rebuilding the ruined places that were desolate; they are desolate no more. Thank You for transforming lands that were bleak and barren into gardens like Eden, full and flourishing, for us whom You fortify because we are Yours, oh LORD. Thank You for making us Your sheep, oh Tender Shepherd. Thank You for leading us into willingness to surrender to Your power, into lovers of You and Your wisdom, into being as calmed and quieted as a weaned child with his mother. Oh LORD, we hope in You -- not just for now, this moment, but from this time forth and forever! Amen.
