Contemporary Psalms

11-18-13

Yet you are a man, and not a god... you were in Eden, the garden of God... you were perfect in your ways from the day you were created
until iniquity was formed in you...
Ezekiel 28:2-24

God, Your goal for me is unshakable faith, even through hardship, a level of endurance that is possible only by looking to Jesus and You, oh Father of spirits, through the eyes of Your HolySpirit indwelling me. I have not come to the mountain that can be touched or burned with fire, but to Your city, oh Living God, LORD of all things, seen and unseen.

We who belong to You have come to Your city, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to You oh God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of the sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel. I will not refuse Him who speaks.

Thank You for the scriptures of Ezekiel and the Letter to Hebrews -- they truly comfort me. I hear You saying that those who belong to Christ will always be able to hear You, even as adversities increase and accelerate. Thank You for encouraging us to hold fast, clinging to You who is unshakeable and all-knowing. Therefore, we cling to Christ, held by His Power, looking UP and being read, even now... for forever.
