Contemporary Psalms

11-17-13

For the time would fail me to tell of...[those] who, through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again...
Hebrews 11:32-33

And to tell of Your Mercy and Mighty, Almighty God, Your revealing to us the way to obtain the Mind of Christ. Thank You for daily feeding is by Your Word and Water, the Bread of Life and the Fountains of Living Water that You pour out upon us who seek You diligently and in al circumstances. Thank You for the weapon of faith, Your gift to all who live in Christ and by Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for revealing that faith is made stronger by the fires of adversity, trials, and troubles. Therefore, our weapon of faith is not blind, though You are invisible to natural eyes and ears. Yet we have seen and see into the unseen realms because You have raised us from the firstborn to live in Your Kingdom even now through Second Birth. You have led us, like Abraham, out of Ur; You have brought us safely through parted waters and years of wandering in the wilderness into Your Promised Land. We have seen many walled cities fall down after we encircled them at Your command. Thus we are among the peoples You claim as Your Own, and so we boldly say, "Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD."

We persevere in You, by You, for You, with You until the day comes when we are taken from this broken world to live fully in Your Kingdom, oh God, forever. May You come quickly -- may You come soon and very soon! We cry out for You to rebirth the world Your Peaceable Kingdom on the earth. We look to Your return, to the day when You reverse the curse, to Your reign over all the earth. In Christ and by Your Holy Spirit, we do pray it...
