Contemporary Psalms

10-3-13

Lift up your voice like a trumpet.
Isaiah 55:1

O God Most High, thank You for sounding Your sweet, strong clarion call in and throughout the earth, for blaring -- clear and clean -- a straight path through the frightening darkness toward Your Light. Our hearts sing with joy and trust as we surrender to Your power, Your calling for Your people into the Care and Keeping of Your Tender Shepherd, Who has repaired the breach. As we live in Him, and He in us, we too are trumpets. May we be instruments for You to sing through. Sing, LORD, to the world and to the worldly through us, that many may hear Your wooing and come out out of Babylon, which is so broken beyond repair and be safe in Your sheepfold, saved from the evil that continues to ooze and accelerate into this world where we presently live. Thank You that we are Alive in Christ -- safe, joyous, and free! Help us point to Your Light. You are blaring it forth from the end of this frightening tunnel. In the flesh, it is scary to be experiencing this darkness, but we do not live in the flesh anymore. Ours is to share the sound, Your trumpet call, as You reveal Yourself. You are the Entrance to the Sheepfold, the Way Out of Darkness, the Repairer of the Breach.
Therefore, I set the trumpet to my mouth; You have set me to Yours. May a clean, strong blast cut a straight and narrow path through this darkness to Your loving arms. May many who are not yet saved hear and follow and come IN. Into You,Christ Jesus, our Savior and LORD. Shine Your Light through this terrible tunnel, and draw us by Your Holy Spirit on the strains of Your clarion call. May our trumpet sounds join  Your clarion call to scatter the enemy like smoke, and may Your Spirit, O God, arise.
