Contemporary Psalms

10-15-13

Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart...
Jeremiah 15:16

God, I bring my vessel before You this day, as empty of SELF as I can, and laying down these burdens and concerns. Here, LORD, take them from me! I know You are already aware of them and working all things to good for these beloveds. We do love You, LORD, though our countrymen seem to have one mad for money they do not have and yet they spend. It is as though they truly believe nothing will go wrong or sour or bad! But we know that invisible laws are operative -- such as Gravity And that "zero" means "zero" no matter how drunken the revelry around us.

We cringe at the brutal persecution of Common Sense that is being successfully waged at us and around us, and we cling to You, feeling afraid in our natural flesh at the blows from so many lies and distortions, so much smoke and mirrors, yet knowing that we live in You, even as we walk on earth. Thus we hear You say, "Be not afraid, though calamities are coming," and "Be ready," which we are because of Christ our Savior and LORD.

We remember that gravity happens, though it is innvivinble. And so, You guide us and comfort us and calm us, O Heavenly Father Son and Holy Spirit, even as the de-volution of humankind accelerates. You assure us that those who refuse to see simply cannot see that their wound is incurable. You will show mercy toward some as You showed mercy on us, on me. All I can do is point to You and intercede, for it is Your call, not mine to those who are still outside in the the darkness or in the dusk. To You I cry,

Balm of Gilead, come!
Come quickly!
Come soon!

  1. Thank you so much for your encouraging comment, which I only just-now noticed on 11/25/13. I am so accustomed to no comments that I don't even see when one appears. Thanksgiving!
