Contemporary Psalms

10-12-13

Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge every metalsmith is put to shame by an image; for his molded image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
They are false, a work of errors.
Jeremiah 10:14-15

God on High, we know You hear our prayers! We know You are here, right here, listening to our concerns and cares, carrying them on the wings of the Spirit into heaven... Thank You, God, for revealing that all we can do is all we can do -- and that is not nothing. It helps to labor in prayers of gratitude for Your coming fruit, even though it is not yet visible to our human eyes. It keeps me from getting all tangled up in the affairs of men, which are futile without Your leading and guiding. Manmade and man-led effotrts always end up like the Tower of Babel -- in ruins. But Spirit-led, Your people find a way where there is no way. Therefore I pray, inviting You to rule and reign in my life and reveal to those who know not what they are doing.Do what You must to rebirth all who cannot see You yet. Until they do, help me love them and pray for them to be born-again, endued with the spiritual senses they need to know You and Your Will before it is too late. Help me do all I can do, gratefully accepting that it mine to point to You and pray -- period -- unless You send me, and that I will obey when You do. For now, I offer prayers of gratitude for the salvations You are forging in these fires of adversity and for the salvations You are bringing forth with patience. May we, Your people, be available, ready to offer Your Bread of Life and Your Living Water to any and all who see their need for You at last. Only You can reveal to our beloveds their dire need, as You did for us -- and so, we pray in confident hope that You are and will for them as well. Amen!
