Contemporary Psalms

5-5-13

But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials.
Luke 22:28

Loyalty to You, Lord, is dethroned more emphatically by Christian workers than by the world. Instead of obtaining Your mind about a given situation, we tend to see You as a "a blessing machine" to deliver outcomes that we, ourselves, have conjured up according to our desires, overruling Yours. Forgive us, Lord, and thank You for lifting the veils from the eyes of our hearts. May we rejoice to see that walls are tumbling down -- everywhere! As You are revealing that soft hearts have been encased there all along: exposed now, vulnerable, hurting, yearning hearts. May You reach them with Your Loveliness and Gracious Mercy, Lord, that many may know and be held by Your Encircling and Radiant Love, world without end. Amen.
