Contemporary Psalms

5-1-13

A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 15:13

Lord, I pray You will provide the wisdom and the words to excise the plague from inside the camp, perhaps, Lord, even through sunshine and laughter. Thank You, Lord, for it is fun to laugh as we see the ridiculosity of our selves. We are pathetic, Lord, so pathetic that it really is hilarious. May we laugh at our foolishness and send it on its way -- like the characters in an old-fashioned "talkie" sending the villain out of town on a rail. Get out of town, we say, grateful for the heavenly perspective that simply scatters it all like smoke in the wind. Hallelujah, Lord. It's blown away. Gone. Truly, Lord! How hilarious!
