Contemporary Psalms

4-29-13

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down... through faith they subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword,
out of weakness were made strong...
Hebrews 11:29-34

Forsythia! Magnolia! Arms outstretched -- all arms - upward, our praises reaching toward the heavenlies where You, oh God, reside. And we also, in Christ, in Whom we live and move and have out being, in whom Your holy Spirit resides.

I join to give You thanks and praise with arms outstretched and a heart rejoicing to know that You are Most High: God over all lesser gods, over all false gods, over all liars and all lies. Thank You, GOD, for lifting the veil to reveal how thin the separation between us and Your supernatural realm. Thank You for showing, through actual evidence, that many higher powers exist, all with IQs far superior to ours. Only You are for us and not against us, oh Most High God, who by Your Mercy and Grace has saved us from all hypocrisy, all liars, and all lies. Thank You, GOD, for Your wisdom and discernment. Walking with You brings us hope and help in our every need, especially when we are weak and utterly despairing, frightened, shattered, even broken into tiny shards. Thank You for meeting us in the mist of our shattered lives, in the midst of pain and sorrow! Thank You for Your Encircling Arms of Comfort and Calm. We are Your broken cisterns through whom Your Light shines forth from into a broken world. May Your Light expose to a world that is blind its own blindness.
