Contemporary Psalms

4-28-13

For... everyone who does not have [faith], even what he has will be taken away from him. But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me
to reign over them, and slay them before me.
Luke 19:26-27

Truly, I thank You, Jesus, for explaining that You hold us responsible for what we do not see. I proclaim this day before You that I do see and say, "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!" Thank You for all who know the time of their visitation. To those who do not, You say, "The things that make for your peace..[are] now hidden from your eyes... and your enemies will build an embankment around you and close you in on every side and level you... and they will not leave in you one stone upon another because you did not know the time of your visitation."

This seems hard, Lord, harsh -- very harsh -- and stern. It is, perhaps, tough Love; Exhortation. You want us to know the things that make for our peace -- that some knew the time of their visitation, and tat we have that choice. Naomi said to Ruth that people should not meet her in any other field. We are in the family of God, into which You placed us by Your atonement and victory over death. In You we are to cry out -- or the stones will cry out instead!

Lord, we are Your Living Stones! Strengthen us to shout out that You are Who You say You are! For we know You! And we know the time of our visitation!
