Galatians 5:1-26
Covering up does not hide but only festers what is hidden,
and the thing beneath will out at some point. This is why My people need to
practice speaking truth in love with one another; otherwise it will fester and
become a boil, and a boil generally bursts. A burst boil is ugly, and it is
always a mess.
Only My balm will bring the kind of healing that is needed.
Authentic healing contains compassion for the other person and forgiveness of
that person by giving that person for Me to handle. The ability to present Me with such a repulsive mess
takes a lot of courage and even more humility. It also requires letting go,
releasing the ferocity of the human grip.
Imagine sliding out from a backpack full of rocks as you
tread water hoping someone will come by rowboat the resue you, hopelessly
paddling to stay alive out in the middle of the open sea. That backpack
threatens to tire you and, eventually, to pull you under the water to suffocate
and drown. Recognize the burden, child, and call for Me to release the burden
like peanut butter sliding off an oily spoon.
Call for Me. Even into the most butchered situations --
especially into the most butchered situations!
