Love Notes

Based on Hosea 3:1-4, Psalms 138:7-8, Proverbs 29:18, 1 John 4:1-21.

GOD, You are so great and so merciful to have made Yourself real and personal and manifest! Thank You for each one You have chosen to confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and died to be the propitiation for our sins. By Your Holy Spirit, we know that we now abide in Him and He in us. Our gratitude is great for having been chosen to see and testify that You have sent Your Son as Savior of the whole world, and we look for the day when many beloveds see and testify with their own hearts and minds, chosen to confess that Jesus is Your Son, chosen to know that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.

So many have strayed into playing the harlot against You, GOD. They ask counsel from their wooden idols, and their staff informs them. Therefore they break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed, by swearing and lying, by killing and stealing and committing adultery. There is no truth or mercy or knowledge of You, O GOD, in the land. You grieve over those who are being destroyed for lack of knowledge! Bring back the beloveds who have forgotten to seek You, O Most High GOD. For if they fail to understand, they will be trampled.

You alone are able to reveal what it true and trustworthy if even from the mouth of a dumb donkey. And so we pray, though we walk in the midst of trouble, that You will revive us, that Your right hand will save us. Our hope in You is confident, for You came to us personally to retrieve us from the terrible troubles were we in, like these who know not what they are doing. Neither did we! But in Your mercy, You came to us, and revived us, and fed us, and saved us and are still with us to perfect that which concerns us. We declare with great gratitude that we know You will not forsake the works of Your hands. Thank You, even now, for the fruit You are bringing forth with patience.
