Based on Psalm 127:1-5 and Hebrews 11:1-16.
Two things You spoke to me today: First, that unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. And second, that a child is a heritage from the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Thank You, GOD, for freeing me from man-led, works-centered organizations, and for giving us a son -- actually the other way around! The son is what freed us in the first place, bearing Your child when I was past the age. And then, our going out, not knowing where we were going led us into Your pastures of plenty, covered by Your
all-sufficent Mercy and Grace.
In these two things, GOD, You have revealed that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, and we understand, at last, that things which are seen are not made of things that are visible. Therefore, our obedience has been pleasing to You, GOD, and we have obtained a good testimony as our reward for diligently seeking You.
Now we are strangers and pilgrims on the earth, called out from that country where our life began, led by You into a better, that is, heavenly county -- the city You have prepared for all Your people. We embrace gratefully Your promises and declare publicly that our homeland is You. In Christ and by Your Holy Spirit do we abide, Christ-centered and Spirit-led.
Thank You GOD, for calling us out! Once we were dead men walking. Now we are, instead, heirs of Your righteousness according to faith in Christ. Like Abraham, dwelling in tents with Issac and Jacob, we joyfully await the city whose foundation and builder and maker is You, O GOD Most High.
