Love Notes

Based on Psalm 119:65-72, 1 Timothy 4:1-4:16, Jeremiah 35:1-36:32.

GOD, You are saying there IS such a thing as good judgment according to Your Word, and so we stand on it, though the proud forge lies against us. You are good, and You are working all things to good; therefore, we will follow You no matter the cost. Now we hear the Spirit saying that many will give heed to deceptions and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy and having their own consciences seared with a hot iron. We are to reject profane and old wives' fables, exercising ourselves toward godliness and trusting in You, the living GOD, who is the Savior of all men, especially those who believe.

Let me be an example in this world, O LORD, giving attention to reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine -- not neglecting the gift that is in me, but meditating on these things and giving myself entirely to them by continuing in them. Let us be like Jeremiah and Baruch: reading Your Word in the hearing of the people and leaving the results to You. Whether or not they take heed of You is not our job.  All we can do is share the words You have written on the scroll and persevere, even after the scroll has been thrown into the fire, even if the king refuses to listen, along with the princes who surround him. We will take another scroll and write the former words You pronounced against them, though most will neither hear nor heed. Help us to persevere in faith, believing that You will save as many as  will receive You. Thank You, in advance,  for hiding us in the cleft of Your, our Rock, until these calamities have passed over.

O Passover Lamb of GOD, we thank You for sparing many who know not their need for Your Blood. Open their hearts, we pray, to see their need for the Lamb that You, Yourself. May they accept You in order that  Death may depart from them forever. Thank You for Your utter and complete salvation, for this exodus, for this Promised Land. It is amazing grace and we gratefully say, "AMEN!"
