Love Notes

Based on Jeremiah 31:1-32:44, Psalm 119:49-56, Proverbs 27:20, 1 Timothy 2:1-15.

GOD Most High, GOD over all flesh and LORD of hosts, we hear Your calling us back  inside Your borders and under Your banner as You implore us, saying, "How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter?" We are ashamed, yes, even humiliated because of  our refusals to obey You and walk in Your way. We have done nothing of what You have commanded us to do; therefore You have caused this calamity to come upon us. We have set our abominations in the house which is called by Your name to defile it, even causing our sons and daughters to pass through the fires to Molech, who gleefully leads us to mistake "our own rights" Forgive us, LORD, for we know not what we are doing, and thank You for Your mercy in revealing Yourself in ways that cannot be seen in the natural.

We who live in Christ have one GOD and one Mediator between GOD and huankind: the Man Christ Jesus who gave HImself a ransom for all. Your Word has given us life, though the proud do have us in great derision. Nevertheless, we do not turn aside from You, O LORD. We are Your people, and You will always be our GOD. Thank You for uniting us as one heart into one way that we may stand in awe of You forever, for our good and for the good of our children after us.

Because we abide in You and You in us, we lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and reverence, thanking You for redeeming us to be good and acceptable in Your sight, O GOD. Thank You, O Savior, for desiring all to be saved. May as many as will be saved and come into the knowledge of You. You are the truth! And the way! And the life!

Thank You that nothing is too hard for You -- even causing the captives to return, redeemed, no longer to gad about, but to be forever safe as inheritors of Your new covenant. Both the purchase deed, which is sealed, and the new deed, which is open, You have put aside in an earthen vessel in order that Your people may possess again their Promised Land.

All this has become ours because You have revived us and given us life, even to this day, even in the midst of Jacob's troubles. Almighty GOD Most High, we thank You for the   protection we know we have inside Your borders and under Your banner, both now and forever. Amen!
