Gathering in Christ

Acts 10:17-19
Now while Peter wondered within himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house and stood before the gate. And they called and asked whether Simon, whose surname was Peter, was lodging there. While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are seeking you. Arise, therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing. For I have sent them."

When we are born-again, we all have visions…of what Jesus wants us to be, and the great thing is to learn not to be disobedient to the vision… The healthiest exercise for the mind of a Christian is to learn to apprehend the truth granted to it in vision… By prayer and determination, we have to form the habit of keeping ourselves soaked in the vision God has given. The difficulty with the majority of us is that we will not seek to apprehend the vision; we get glimpses of it and then leave it alone.
