Gathering in Christ

Luke 4:9

Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.”

Watch when God shifts your circumstances and see whether you are going with Jesus or siding with the world, the flesh, and the Devil… The temptation may be to do some big startling thing to prove that we really are the children of God. Satan said to Jesus, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down,” and unto us he says, “If you are saved and sanctified and true to God, everyone you know should be saved, too.”… It is a temptation of the Devil and can only be detected as a temptation by the Spirit of God.
