Contemporary Psalms

11-15-13

Those who sow in tears shall reap with joy.
Psalm 126:5

My God, our God, You are such a sweet teacher, always lighting the learning that is right in front of me. Today that learning is twofold:

First, that tears actually water our prayers, helping them bloom and blossom as we weep before You. Our tears are holy water.

Second, that deliverance entails acute hunger and thirst. There is a banquet, but it is only embraced by those who are hungry enough to eat and thirsty enough to put their lips into the river and drink. I hear You saying, "Focus on those who have deep hunger and thirst. Don't give up on the others. Pray for them -- and for everyone -- knowing that I AM working all things to completion."
