Contemporary Psalms

8-3-13

If the ax is dull and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength, but wisdom brings success.
Ecclesiastes 10:10

LORD, thank You for bringing Solomon's wisdom to encourage us in our own pursuits of Your Wisdom, O God, that we may learn from You that, when we do things Your Way, the burden is light. Help us release our grip on so many impossible things that only You can move and in doing so, make Yourself manifest and real to us. It seems so often that it takes times of trial for us to see that simply seeking Your Wisdom helps. You meet us in the midst to guide us forward, higher, deeper into Christ. Thank You for imparting to us the courage to do what we can as You reveal... and thank You for how joyful we are when we can see Your Hand upon us, so we can hope in confident faith and know that we shall sing and tell of Your mercy and excellent help to us. This is the way of wisdom, O God, seeking and finding Your encouragement to seek and do the next right thing. Therefore this day, I release my grip and set the rest of the burden into Your Tender Loving Care.
