Contemporary Psalms

7-9-13

And Asa cried out to the LORD his God and said, "LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power. Help us, oh LORD our God, for we rest on You and in Your Name we go against this multitude. Oh LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You."
2 Chronicles 14:11

Father in Heaven, I bring You the notes I made in previous years, in the Bible which I read daily, and I hold them up to You saying, "Thank You, LORD, for so much fruit since then!" Clearly You have been moving against the Spirit of Control and the Spirit of Self-Sufficency in mighty ways -- just to name a few. Your people are starting to recognize and overthrow Control;  I myself have departed from several High Places by removing myself to the bleachers, where I stand, praying. Prayer is the battle You have said again and again, and now I see material proof in the natural world, You are hearing our cries! You are he;ping those who are seeking You, who are relying on You to do what is good and right in Your eyes. To know our place, which is in Christ, through whom all things are possible.

It helps to see this so clearly at a time when so many of Your people are finding ourselves surrounded as if by an ambush. With Your encouragement to stand, we stand against this multitude, likeAsa, praying in faith, believing that it is in Your power to prevail. Flow, LORD, flow into us and into the world so broken by following the dictates of human hearts. We are glorifying You, set into Your True Body like Living Stones, radiating thanks and praise, albeit dimly now. We look for the Day when You transport us fully to join in accord at last -- and for ever and ever.
