6-27-13

[They] prayed for [the baptised believers] that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands of them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:14-17

Oh God, Holy and Triune, reveal I pray that we believers need not stop at Life Eternal, not to merely or only accept Your forgiveness, Your Salvation through Christ as our Savior. You have told us that Christ is both Savior and Lord! Therefore, You have revealed that, after Christ's ascension from earth into the heavenlies, those who believed could also be baptised in the Holy Spirit. Believers are to receive both Salvation and also New Life. You desire to be both our Savior and our Lord. It is the Life of Christ coming into our lives by the Holy Ghost that changes us. May we receive Him and let GHim abide and increase, guide and reveal, and heal! May each of us be indeed a temple for Your Holy Spirit, carrying in us the evidence of Your Ascended Christ!
