Recovery in the Bible (RIB)

LIFE APPLICATION OF THE BIBLE

Not so many years ago, divorce was considered bad for people, abortion was considered murder, and marriage was defined as the union of one man and one woman. Oh and fidelity  protected one from death by STD (et cetera ad nauseum). Such concepts were based on life experience. From suffering consequences (some dire) and finding values -- probably so called because they were valued, having proven to be safer and happier ways to live free.

Not any more! Political Correctness, has FLATTENED many (if not most) of what were once considered "best ways to live." I am not against equal rights -- give people all the freedom they want! But we don't get to define marriage. Or life. Or death.

Life is hard enough -- now more difficult because we call things that are evil “good,” and we call things that are good “evil.” Woe to those, God says. But in our haze, we boldly proclaim our "evolved positions,” fervently believing we are correct (I would posit that no one believes what they think is not).

We can’t all be right. Maybe we’ll just have to wait to see how things work out over time. I believe that, eventually, we will suffer the same old results and learn, once again, the only thing we learn from history is that we DON'T learn from history.

This may be controversial, but I hope we can express our view even when we disagree. I'm just trying to apply the Bible to my actual everyday, ordinary life. Please feel free to chime in!
