Recovery in the Bible (RIB)

LOVE AND LET LIVE

In the United States of America, freedom means respecting every person’s individual dignity: accepting we have been given freedom of choice, even to make choices that are unwise or illegal or outright wicked. God loves each one He has ever made, and by Him in us, we do the same. Therefore, my latest slogan is Love and Let Live. This came to me after someone recently posted, "Frankly, I don't care WHAT you believe unless your belief includes the power to control what I believe." I think this new slogan means r refusing to demonize one another, even when we disagree on stuff. What think you?

  1. I love it! I recently responded to a litany of bashing comments against a person who said that she did not believe that the Supreme court should get involved with marriage, etc. The way she was verbally stoned by the rock wielding pro-lover's was quite hypocritical at best. We have entered into a historical period where you must believe one way or be out. I would think that those who believe in equality would be more tolerant than they reflect. It seems to me that there are those who do not want love, or equality, but, rather, they like others before them, want it there way or the highway. Hmmm, I think the point that Jesus was making was, you don't have to all believe as I do, but, you do need to love each other anyway. Love and Let Live..."Love when blended with Like is Live!"

  2. Excellent, brilliant insight, Mary E!!! Thank you for this encouraging comment. I am soon transitioning this blog into a new website called RecoveryintheBible.com which is a draft at this point. If you want to take a look, I would welcome feedback before I finalize. Again, thanks for blending LOVE with LIVE -- I love/live you, too!
