Love Notes

Based on Ezekiel 13:1-14:23 and Hebrews 7:1-18.

STUCK!  I am stuck this day, O GOD,  with so much Word washing over me that I do not know where to start. I guess it's right to begin with Your mighty works -- not only for many and especially Your people throughout His story (aka history) -- but individually for me, for my little life, my little family of origin, my little circle of acquaintances, relatives, and friends. 

Thank You, LORD, for retrieving me from behind a great wall of untempered plaster, for bringing that wall down to the ground so that the foundation was uncovered to reveal the magic charms and the idols in hearts that were being led to stumble. Thank You for saying to all who have the ears to hear: "They are estranged from Me by their idols." Therefore, GOD, You tell them (and sometimes us):

"Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations."

You say there shall be left a remnant who will be brought out, both sons and daughters, who will be comforted concerning the disasters You will bring. Thank You for annulling the commandment through which nothing was perfected. Thank You that, now, there is a better hope through through Christ, who made the way for us and who is The Way for all mankind.

Because His priesthood continues forever, He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to You through Him. He lives eternally to make intercession unceasingly, for He is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and higher than the heavens. He does not need to offer up sacrifices for His own sins and then for the ours, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 

It is finished! For Your Son, who has been perfected, lives forever in us and we in Him. It is finished. It is finished indeed!
