Gathering in Christ




Nehemiah 6:9
For they were all trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.

He was crucified in weakness. Jesus Christ represents God, limiting His own power for one purpose. He died for the weak, for the ungodly, for sinners, and for no one else. “I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” No chain is stronger than its weakest link.

Where are the mighty civilizations of other days? Where are the prehistoric animals, those colossal powerful creatures? It is they that have gone to the wall. The great blunder in all kingdoms among men is that we will demand strong men; consequently, each kingdom in its turn goes to the wall because no chain is stronger than its weakest link.  The strong man idea is the one that appeals to men… History proves, however, that it is the strongest that go to the wall, not the weakest…
