Gathering in Christ

Psalm 86:15
But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

The one great truth to keep steadfastly before us is the Lord Jesus Christ; He is the Truth. Only the whole truth is the Truth; any part of the truth may become an error. If you have a ray of light on the Truth, never call it the whole truth; follow up, and it will lead you to the central Truth, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our tendency is to make truth a logical statement, to make it a principle instead of a Person. Profoundly speaking, there are no Christian principles, but the saint, by abiding in Christ in the Way of the Fatherhood of God, discerns the Truth of God in passing moments. Confusion arises when we disassociate ourselves from our Lord and try to live up to a standard merely constructed on His word.

Would that men who name the name of Christ realized that He is the Truth, not the proclaimer of it; that He is the Gospel, not the preacher of the Gospel, that He is the Way of the Fatherhood of God.

A painting (one of three I've done in my entire life), this one called Wynken, Blynken and Nod. To me it shows God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.
