Luke 7:34
The Son of Man has come
eating and drinking, and you say, “Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend
of tax collectors and sinners!”
We are to be of the stamp of
our LORD and Master, and the prigs of His day called Him a glutton and a
winebibber; they said He was not dealing with the profound things. Beware of
the production of contempt for others by thinking that they are shallow. To be
shallow is not a sign of being wicked; the ocean has a shore. Beware of posing
as a profound person; God became a baby.
