Deuteronomy 3:23-25
Then I pleaded with the LORD at that
time, saying, “O LORD, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and
Your mighty hand, for what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do
anything like Your works and Your mighty deeds? I pray, let me cross over and
see the good land beyond the Jordan, those pleasant mountains, and Lebanon.
Prayer
is the battle; it is a matter of indifference where you are. Whichever way God
engineers the circumstances, the duty is to pray… It is the laboring man who makes
the conceptions if the genius possible, and it is the laboring saint who makes
the conceptions of His Master possible… What an astonishment it will be to
find, when the veil is lifted, the souls that have been reaped simply because
you had been in the habit of taking your orders from Jesus Christ.
