Contemporary Psalms

9-15-13

Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us.
2 Corinthians 7:6

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD! If you will inquire, inquire! Return! Come back! Bring water to him who is thirsty....for it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity by the LORD of hosts. Here, in the Valley of Vision, it is a day of breaking down the hills, a day of crying to the mountains, for God has removed His protection because the people did not look to their Maker, nor have they respect for Him who fashioned everything that is. Therefore, the LORD will throw away all "mighty" men, but His mercy endures forever. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. Therefore, let the redeemed of the LORD say so, those in whom He has produced godly sorrow leading to repentance and salvation. Praise the LORD, for He has redeemed us from the hand of the enemy.
