Contemporary Psalms

4-10-13

He who withholds his rod hates his son, but he who loves him
disciplines him diligently.
Proverbs 13:24

The days of disciplining our son are over, LORD, and he is a young man -- a lovely, fine and winsome young man who knows right from wrong and who discerns what is best and meet and right for himself to do. Thank You, LORD, for leading him to seek Your counsel and to value quietude in which to listen and hear Your heart. Thank You for teaching him how to be a good steward of the vessel You have given him, and may he meet You up close and personal, not as a theory, but as his Savior and LORD. May he be blessed to see and know You and may You say to him as you said to us in Luke 10:23, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear and have not heard it." May his heart sense You and seek You and follow You and find You -- in Christ and by Your Holy Spirit I do pray.
