My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of Him. For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.
Father, in Christ and by Your Holy Spirit, I come before You to surrender this earthen vessel You gave me to walk in through my years of mortal life. Thank You, GOD, for speaking to me and through me; thank You for helping me trust the process as Yours alone. I declare my commitment to resist digging up the seeds You have sown to see if any little roots have begun; I hear You say "Hands off, daughter," and so I lift my hands -- and heart -- to You, oh LORD, I lift up my soul, in faith that that Your Will is being accomplished no matter what it looks like on this, the "wrong side" of the tapestry.
