Father God, thank You for revealing the wisdom of being IN the world without being OF it. It has really helped to to follow Your suggestion of turning off the nightly news. We do not need to know each jot and tittle of human efforts to build yet another Tower, without any consultation with You whatsoever. Our home is quiet now, as are our hearts and minds. We know we did all we could, but You allow what You allow and we know enough to pray FOR the world without being ensnared by it. Thank You for leading us to pray without ceasing, but also, without getting ensnared by the tendrils in the swamp.
Wisdom is the principal thing: Therefore get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7).
This painting by Claudia Wood Rahm is called Dining Alone. It reminds me that Lily Tomlin once said,"We're all in this alone." Together, yes, with each one bringing what we have heard from God when we met with Him alone.
