Pet Theories

I am a conservative, and I resent being made to feel inferior because it has become such an unpopular position. To me, conservatism is about CONSERVING! Freedom first and foremost... personal liberty and personal responsibility.

The way I see it, freedom can only exist where government is limited and free-enterprise is unleashed. Liberalism seems bent on generating rules and regulations which, to me, is control-freakism. Controlling outcomes requires a LEASH. And lately, that leash has been attached to a prong collar.

Please note that this little dog doesn't even have a collar!

Funny as Hell

I think it's funny that The Press doesn't "press" anymore. I also think it's funny they think they are America's "watch dogs" but they have morphed into a whole different breed. Now they are "lap dogs." Neutered!

Funny as Hell

My dog and I love oxymorons, and on our walk this morning, we remembered another one:

Political Representatives

We find this kind of humor WRY -- and funny -- funny as hell.

This is a photo of Roobie when she was twelve years younger, in her prime of life. Now she is old (91 in human terms) and gray (like her mum), but she's still catching scents and chasing them down, and when she finds something, she barks her head off. She is a pointer. A short-haired pointer. Like her mum.

Funny as Hell

My dog thinks it's funny that the term Political Correctness
is an oxymoron... funny as hell.

This photograph was posted recently on Facebook and is attributed to Diane Grant.

Funny as Hell

REAL LIFE CAN BE STRANGER THAN FICTION

My dog caught the scent long before the main stream media did, and she -- like a good hunting dog -- pressed in to retrieve the facts. The main stream media, however, seems to have been lured off the trail already. She and I agree that they are lousy at digging now -- though they still consider themselves the earnest hunting dogs they were trained to be. It really is surreal and, in a morbid way, amusing. We are watching a once magnificent breed simply devolve. If it weren't so sad, it would be funny -- funny as hell.

This photograph was taken by the Burdon Family of Nana, who is still
 a very good dog.

Funny as Hell

My dog thinks it's funny that President Obama called the Ft. Hood massacre “workplace violence” and got away with it for four years. Funny as hell...

Funny as Hell

My dog and I see a wolf in Sheep's Clothing, but we've been barking and barking, and still, very few people see the tail hanging down from underneath his disguise. He is all dressed up as Compassion, luring sheep into the river to have their brains washed clean of common sense. It's so sad to see the wool being pulled over many eyes. If it weren't so dark and ironic, it would be funny. Funny as hell.

Funny as Hell

I think it's funny that Political Correctness has morphed from "RESPECT" to "DO NOT

OFFEND --ANYONE, EVER."  Watching so many good-hearted people be hoodwinked into

embracing intolerance in the name of tolerance, has been tragic really -- if it weren't so funny.

Funny as hell.

This photograph is from a series called Animals as Art by Rachael Hale.
This one is called "Oscar."

Funny as Hell

My dog thinks it's funny that a person urging courage to speak our views, even when those views might be unpopular, then proceeded to denigrate people of a differing viewpoint. Same person, same mouth!

Funny as Hell

My dog thinks it's funny that Americans are finally realizing

they have created a monster -- Big Brother -- and that

he’s giant. Funny as hell...

Funny as Hell

My dog thinks I have a weird sense of humor. For example, I think it is FUNNY that many think using
good judgment is “being judgmental.”

Funny as Hell

My dog says I have a weird sense of humor -- that I laugh at IRONY, at things that are absolutely ludicrous. She's right -- I do! For example, I find it downright hilarious that both houses of Congress are in the process of exempting themselves from Obamacare - and we're okay with that!

Points from a Short-Haired Pointer

OTHER GOOD POINTS FROM A POINTER

My dog is noticing that we don't have to go bankrupt as a nation. There's hope for change.

My dog has noticed that the phrase “government solutions” is an oxymoron when it gets too far removed from home.

My dog has noticed that depending on the Federal government is like sitting on a three-legged chair and expecting it NOT to fall down...

My dog has noticed that taxing the rich would just about cover the cost for one year of Big Bird -- either that, or the cost of running the federal government for a few days.

My dog has noticed that NOBAMA HOME!

Sniffing Things Out

SNIFFING THINGS OUT BEFORE VOTING

My dog has noticed that "Benghazi-Gate" stinks so much, even the press corps cannot cover the stench.

My dog has noticed that “blaming the video” must have been decided in the White House on 9/11/12.

My dog has followed the scent and stands as if FROZEN, pointing at our POTUS who is very deep in the doo-doo.

My dog has noticed that the debacle in LIBYA has revealed a lot we needed to see before voting -- she hopes we will see and RETRIEVE the USA!

Digs from a Hunting Dog

IT HELPS TO HAVE A HUNTING DOG I!

My dog has noticed that an astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land. "Dig!" she barks to the so-called "press" DIG!

My dog has noticed how many members of the press seem to reside in the Emerald City, especially those writing for the New York Times. OZ!!!

My dog has noticed that people set the alarm for WAKE-UP but tend to put it back onto SNOOZE.

My dog has noticed that DENIAL is not just a river in Egypt and that DENIAL  is also an acronym for Don’t Even Know I Am Lying…

My dog has noticed that it was a DOG who pulled back the curtain to expose what was TRUE.

My dog has noticed that the massacre at Ft. Hood was not “workplace violence” nor was the massacre at Benghazi a “mob action.” Orwellian!

My dog has noticed that journalists (especially those at The New York Times) need to be re-trained. Instead of hunting for bones, they are burying them. Very bad dogs!

Tweets From A Good "Guard Dog"

A GOOD GUARD DOG

My dog has noticed that balancing a budget is just plain common cents.

My dog has noticed that many Americans are doing  good job of not noticing.

My dog has noticed that it was a DOG who pulled back the curtain to expose what was real.

My dog has noticed that people who set the alarm for WAKE-UP are quick to put it back onto SNOOZE.

My dog is following the scent of Freedom, which she hopes to retrieve before it turns to dust in the wind.

Puppy Tales

PUPPY TALES

My dog is an excellent pointer: she is pointing at the empty chair Clint Eastwood was talking about and at the apparent absence of clothing on the heir to the throne.

My dog has noticed that The Mean Queen cheats while playing the game.

My dog is sniffing out a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Good dog!

My dog has noticed that people suddenly think it’s okay to strangle The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg.

My dog is barking "Little Red Riding Hood" because there's a wolf who is all dressed up and claiming to be Granny.

Dog Tweets

THE NEED FOR A LEASH

My dog has noticed that politicians think they are hot dogs, so they need to be grilled.

My dog has noticed that the press is failing to press (or even dig) for bones that are being buried.

My dog wonders why reporters seem to have forgotten their training. She thinks maybe they’ve lost the scent because they don’t seem to be pursuing trails anymore, and they aren’t even digging for facts.

My dog has noticed that fewer people see the connection between free-enterprise and their own freedom. She hopes they will call it back before it gets killed by a car.

My dog has noticed that DC might behave better if paychecks were tied to a (1) a budget and (2) balanced budget. Otherwise, no treats...
